Aims & Objectives of Pony Club

  • To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sports connected with horses and riding.

  • To provide instruction in riding and horsemanship and to instill in members the proper care of their animals.

  • To promote the highest ideals of sportsmanship, citizenship and loyalty, thereby cultivating strength of character and self discipline in the members.

A little about our Club

The Gums Horse and Pony Club is located at the Marrabel Rodeo Grounds, Marrabel SA.  There are currently approximately 20 riding members, ranging in age and experience from riders on the lead to juniors and seniors regularly out competing in competitions.  We also have a number of Adult riders.

Rallies are held on Sunday  (except when advised - see Calendar) Rallies start with a gear check at 10am.

The club aims to cater for everyone with instructional rallies for all ages.  Please advise the Chief Instructor or Rally Co-ordinator if you are attending.  At least 3 to 5 days notice would be appreciated.
