The Gums Horse and Pony Club

About Me

I am 18 Years old and have been a member of the Gums Horse and Pony Club for around 10 Years.

The first pony I rode at pony club was 'Benelle Lucy', she was a 12hh Bay Pony. She was a great first pony, an excellent jumper and novelty pony. I competed and completed my first ODE when I was 9 on Lucy at the Marrabel Horse Trials, and we placed 6th...

My next pony was ' Bold Bellino' (Sqizz) he was a 15.2hh brown thoroughbred, i rode Squizz at Zone Finals that year and our B team Dressage Team placed 1st. He was a bit strong and a bit too much to handle at the age of 11. So we sold him to VJ Wigney, an adult who still has him and gets on great with him. I then purchased Tooch, who we all know (see pic).  She is a 14.2hh Palomino.  When we purchased Tooch she was in a paddock, no rugs =, really dirty, hadnt been ridden for at least 4 years, or since Benni had broken her in. And she was a charm ...... didnt put one foot wrong. Over the years Tooch and i grew to be a great combination... Even after all those times of getting off and yelling and screaming saying i want Lucy back because Tooch was naughty... Tooch and i have accomplished quite a few things over the years and I still enjoy her. In between this i have had a few free lease horses - Paris, Touche' and Kyla and it goes on...

I am now free leasing Charlie from Lizzie Wigney. I rode him at Zone Finals in 2008 and came 5th in SADA Cup.

Achievements i have accomplished through the years at The Gums are:

Pony Clubber of the year  - 2003, 2004, 2005.

Encouragement Award

Most Improved

Service to club

D, D*and C Certificates.

I also have competed in 8 Zone Finals, many One Day Events, Gymkhanas, Ag Shows.
